Oh and "lara is king" - this is the ONLY cricket forum available on this site ok - so discussions here can be about all things cricket - it doesnt necessarily have to involve the World Cup (despite what the name might suggest) - and would you stop with the whole "what if's argument - "if this had happened to australia theyd be blah blah etc etc "- well guess what mate ?? IT DIDNT HAPPEN !! Accept that and move on!!

I feel that participants in Yahoo Answers Forum have talked
enough in the matter and that the matter is now to be left to the Sri Lankia Cricket Authorities to take up the matter officially with ICC if they consider that use of the squash Ball by Gilchrist is in violation of any rules.

Yeah its really beating a dead horse! This is a none issue. Have there been any protests from where it matters? NO!
Only on this forum do we see the incessant blathering of small minded people who can't stand the fact the currently Australia is the best side by far, just as the WINDIES were in the 70's& 80's. Just smile at their incoherent, foaming at the mouth. Eventually they'll calm down, until we thrash them again!! LOL :-)

Normally I would say "me", but you must let the inconsolable whinge about the result. I'm still awaiting a reply on another question about which rule Gilly broke. That will be interesting.
The only other whinge left for us is that we influenced GOD to produce the rain that "denied" Sri Lanka the opportunity to win.

It's apparent the truth is annoying for ppl to accept that Gilchrist cheated! If he is such a great batsman, why did he do total crap in this World Cup except for this game.
By the way, this is the Cricket World Cup 2007 section. i suggest strongly if u are tired then leave. Gilchrist's cheating was a part of the World Cup right?

If this had happened to a non aussie against Australia u all would have been flooding here with stuff too.

Poor Gilly. He played so brilliantly and his performance is being overshadowed by these illigitimate claims that he 'cheated'. Others might disagree, but I think it's time we give it a break.
