I have a number of different passwords for different email accounts, youtube, forums etc and i was wondering how do yaho answerers manage theirs?

i keep a small address book next to my computer...on serious passwords like bank accounts we have a formula to use in case the book ever got stolen.....yes we change passwords so we write in pencil.

I don't use the remember thing. Any password saving system weakens your security, if someone gets access to you machine, they can then use the saved login info, and then change your real passwords for their own. I am admin for several sites (too many sometimes) all have different passwords for my ordinary user and admin logins. I do not keep any record of them anywhere. Company owners have their own system's admin password in case i drop dead, that is all. I imagine I am currently using some 200 different passwords, all random collections of numbers and letters. If I do forget one I shall face the embarrassment of having to ask an MD what the admin password is, much better than the serious embarrassment of losing his data.
