You need to drop some more info to get a good answer. Different arena's play different songs.

Also, most arenas still have an organist that plays during stoppages to fill time and get the crowd clapping along. You could be talking about Roll Out The Barrel, but I really hope that isn't the mystery song that is stuck in your head. It's on almost every Polka greatest hits CD. If you update your question I will update my answer.

Rock an Roll Part 2
Song 2
Surfing with the Alien
Hells Bells
Theme from Jaws

A useful answer is related to a useful question. Not much detail here to work with. My experience is every game I see, they play all the same songs, so every song fits that clue. Genre? Instruments used? Fast/slow tempo? Description? Any fan response/reaction? What team/arena? Does it sound like there might be lyrics if they played more of the song?

It not only for Sabres but there is a song called the Sabre Dance. there are clips of it played during other hockey games (not just for Buffalo).

Don't take this the wrong way...but why do you care? It's hockey game NOT a rock concert.

ps You could always call the arena and ask.
