...get ready to get happy!!!
Clive Barker, himself, is spearheading a remake of the first "Hellraiser", on conjunction with Dimension Films; definately going to be a theatrical release (unlike the dismal direct-to-video sequels), and done with more money.
I say, way to go, Clive!!! Get out there and show/remind the film making masses out there, how to do "Hellraiser" right!!!

Well, with Clive involved it's pretty cool, but A) it's going to be interesting to see if they can top the mood set because the Hellraiser's are the epitome of sado-masochism and they need to stay that way. B) Who could ever take the original Pinheads place? I can think of no one.
So, I will give it a shot and watch it, but I think I will be in the majority when I say it will be with biased and skeptical, show-me eyes.

Not really I thought that they had said all they needed to say by the fourth film of the series and that any more would just be silly. There has to be a cut off point with films otherwise they detract from what made the story great in the first place.

Good God, you MUST be joking.....the first film was an absolute classic, Hellbound was over the top, Hell on Earth was typically Americanized serial killer style shite and as for Part Four...words fail me....
I know there's a part Five, but it was so dreadful, I'm not even sure it got a proper release in the UK....
Please, no more....

Remakes are rarely as good as the original so probably not. But I suppose it would be cool to continue the story (based on the first film) with Pinhead and the others.

OMG yes, but it would be soooooo gory and soooooo scary i'd have to buy a new sofa to hide behind to watch it!!!!
Taking the above point, the Final Destinations have done their bit but I still have to watch to see what new ways of killin the characters off there are!!

No.
Those movies were testaments to sado-masochism and really no sequel is necessary.
