An attorney put up a billboard that says, "Life's Short, Get A Divorce." It has a woman in lingerie to the left and a bare chested man to the right of the ad.

What do you think of this?

I don't think anyone here knows that the attorney group that put up this billboard are a bunch of women. Their whole firm is all women....I was listening to this on the radio, this has become such a huge thing. A lot of people find this insulting and a mockery. I, personally don't care...if I had seen it, I probably would have called my spouse and laughed about it. A billboard is NOT going to make you change your lives and actually GET a divorce. It's meant to make you think...there are plenty of couples out there who struggle many many years to try and make things work when they are just not going to. It offers them a solution, if you are unhappy in your relationship, why waste your life being miserable? Life's short, get a divorce.

If people these days had any respect for marriage that billboard wouldn't exist. But since 2/3 end in divorce of course this guy is gonna use clever advertising to make himself money. If people would just think before they got married, then divorce wouldn't be a problem.

It was in poor taste but the attorney has freedom of speech. 50% of all marriages end in divorce so what's the big deal? Did you just recently get divorced? Is that why it offended you? I guess we'll just have to see how much business that lawyer gets from it. You are giving him/her more publicity by talking about it and that was the whole point of his/her ad I'm sure.

That's horrible!! Some people have really great relationships with their partner. That guy has no right to say things like that, some people may take offense to it. I'm sure that billboard will be taken down soon.

Sexist. The message is to encourage people to divorce because you want to get laid by someone else. Actually..the message is to encourage you (after you've come to the first decision) to go to this ambulance chaser to retain him as your "mouthpiece". These are the attorneys who give all lawyers a bad name. That in itself isn't hard to do I agree but this..humph..."officer of the court" has no ethics or morals. Wait....we're talking attorneys..right?
But...thats what this boils down to. No ethical behavior on the part of the attorney and no moral behavior on the part of the 'client". Ahhhhh...what a lovely couple. Made for one another.
This swine should be brought to the attention of the Ethics Board for Attorneys in the state in which you reside.

If you think that's bad then you'll likely have a bone to pick with most advertisers, actually pay attention to commercials, this has been happening for a LONG time, don't you remember when they used to advertise for ciggs or liquor?

Yah, that's misrepresentation of the women. We all know most woman aren't that hot.

So you dump your hot wife and end up with a frumpier chick...that sucks.

Ingenious marketing technique. Sex sells! If people just wanted to be with the actors in the ad, they could cheat and not have to spend the money on a costly divorce. This person is using lust to sell their services. Genius!

I think it should say, "Marriage can be hard work but it's worth it. Try marriage counseling. Do all you can because love is more than feelings. It's commitment"
