tell them the truth......the longer you keep it a secret the worse it will be when they finally find out

You are 14 and you are engaged? You need to tell your parents the truth! Do they know this boy or man?

Have you considered just dating, and if it's serious, getting a promise ring? An engagement ring is for adults! You are a child!

I hate to say it, but you know you are way too young. You need to be older and experience life before you tie yourself down to one person. You two couldn't have been going out for more than a year or two. People wait awhile before they get engaged. Its not a spur of the moment decision - you are tying yourself down for life, without getting to know other people. It is a big mistake. You need to tell your parents. Really, they shouldn't let you. You are way too young, and don't understand what you are doing. You need to tell them. Of course they're going to be angry, but they will do what's best for you. You are too immature, and need to realize that it was a mistake. How old is the boy, that he can afford that? Do you realize he could be a pedophile? This sounds awefully fishy. I doubt anyone close to your age could buy a nice ring.

first of all you should atleast try to meet new people at college, school , different places etc. before you actually decide he's the one you really want to be with , things and your emotions will change as you get older . but if nothing changes within a couple of years , tell them then. but def. not now. dont wear the ring on the engagement finger.

you are way to young to be engaged... at 14 who in the world are you engaged to. you need to tell your parents or give the ring back if you are that ashamed to tell them.

You're a little young to be engaged. Anyway, if you are engaged then you shouldn't have to say anything. The person to talk to your parents is you fiance.

I'm not gonna scold you for being too young because you probably already know that. Dont lie to your parents because theyll will lose your trust and they will be even more disinclined to accept your descision to marry.
