So I had done an audition for a musical at the community theatre last Saturday (the 5th), and it was always routine that the director call everybody that very night to inform whether or not they had made the show (or received a callback for a role).

Well, so far I have heard nothing from them. I had contacted everybody I knew at the auditions and they've all received a call that night. I am pretty confused and stressed. What should I do?

If you know for a fact that this is the director's protocol, then I see nothing wrong with placing a call to him yourself. If you can reach the show's stage manager, that might be a better place to start. But if, as you say, this director normally calls EVERYONE who auditioned, then you need to find out your status. Go for it.

I think you have every right to call and politely ask what your status is and IF you were'nt chose this particular time then ask why and for some constructive criticism. Hope this helps!

Don't embarass yourself by calling. If they want you they will call.
