Despite the brilliance of 'Cogito ergo sum' by Descartes, his thought isolates us... I am the only thing I can be sure of.
I prefer the golden rule and it's counter-parts from other parts of the world.
Do unto others what you would have done unto you.
It emphasizes community, cooperation and caring.
We are sadly lacking in that regard in this world.
