Layer by layer. The first two layers take about 10 minutes to learn and less than 2 once you've mastered them The third layer is more complex, but there is an algorithm.

have two nearly cubes, one solved(brand new), the other a product of hours of hair pulling, screaming and dents in the wall from the retched thing being thrown.
then you can claim to have solved it, before committing both to a decent burial in the deepest darkest corner of the bottom drawer in the back cupboard, closet or spare room

The Rubik's cube was invented in the bowels of hell. I know, I was there. Hell, it was the 80s, we made a lot of wonderfully evil things that decade. Ronnie the Popular worked for me back then.

Peal off all the stickers and put them back in the order that they need to be. lol
So that you don't have to stress your self out so much!

Take the stickers off.
Also, keep in mind that the color in the center of each side is that side's color, and you need to work with that.
