Well I guess it works they same way most audituions do. Prepare something and if you don't have to present it you don't. It is never bad to be over-prepared.

Ok JRP can be a scam it depends on what city you do it in. I go to JRP and I have had a really good experience, the teachers were great, and once a month we got to audition for legitament agents, which was great experience. One of the girls in my class auditioned for an agent, and that agent called her a few weeks later saying she had an audition with ABC in New York, which she went to. Yes JRP is a lot of money, and absolutely does not guarantee you success, but you do get experience auditioning and learn a lot. This is my experience of the one I took in Boston, how good the JRP you are going to is depends on where it is, I can only speak for the one I went to.

I think this is scam. Most likely they will tell you that you had a good audition, but that you need to "work" on your skills. They will offer to sign up for a workshop or boot camp for acting, at several hundred dollar fee.

If you get that sales pitch, you know it's a scam. No real audition ends in a sales pitch. Real auditions end in a rejection or a callback.

Yeah, DON'T GO! They're a rip off and all they want is your money. They tell EVERYONE that they're great... don't do it!

If you want to find a legitimate agent to represent you for commercials, TV & film go to SAG.org. Use the dropdown menu on the right labeled 'resources' and choose 'agent information'. On the next screen, on the left choose 'Find a SAG franchised agent' and follow the directions.

Then you can send them your headshot, resume, and a cover letter stating that you are seeking representation and wait to see if they call you in for an interview.

They are a scam, save your money. Do not get involved with them.

They will charge you thousands of dollars. They are NOT a legitimate Modeling Agency.
