It does depend on which electric company you have (and living in an apartment you don't get a choice)
I have progress energy and a 1 bedroom apartment is about $40-$50 during the winter months and then about $90 in the summer months.

My electricity bill in my 1 bedroom apartment cost me about $40-$50 during the winter months and then about $70-$80 in the summer months, due to the excessive air conditioning use (which is needed when it's 95 degrees outside).

i live in a 2 bedroom apartment in Tampa, and my electric bill is from 15 - 40 dollars a month.

however for my cable it's about 80 dollars without any extra channels, but includes my internet also, with bright house.

land lines aren't too expensive, get vonage, or a verizon deal with internet and a landline.

goodluck!

I live in a single family home. My bill during summer is usually between 80 and 100 dollars. My neighbors usually pay 200 to 400 dollars.

The difference is, I keep my thermostat at 81 to 83 degrees where most others keep theirs at mid 70s.

When I lived at one/two bed apartments it was around 50 dollars but that was about 10 years ago.

Around here, heat being horrendous, how you set your T-stat makes BIG difference.
