This sounds like a software problem and not hardware related. The blue screen message with the "registry error" is the biggest clue. Try reloading Windows. If I was doing this for my personal system, I would reformat the drive and start with a clean Windows installation. Leave out all the crap that PC manufacturers install. Add only those programs that you want and will use.

your running ms window thats your problem...
windows has never been stable, never will be stable.
have you got Vista? if you have then thats the biggest problem,
if the problem is in the windows registry I would check out the device manager could be you've not got the right driver, for something.
with a system like that what you running ms windows for, get upto date dump windows move onto real world of 64x2 Linux computing , safer more stable, faster, and it is Free,
you get all the software you will ever ever need, all FREE, do some research into open source Linux.
all the big computer companies Dell, HP, Compaq have been using it for years, but never told Joe public about it,
you can download it, Free, make a live cd, and run it off the cd without installing it, till you get to know it, which don't take that long, if you have broad band you can get on the internet from the cd,
copy the web address below, keep them safe and check them out,
Linux support is second to none

Change the system ram and see or if the same problem appears then change the agp card also and update all the windows patches and update all the drivers also. the most common problem is the ram of the agp card only try changing them and see this will solve the problem because
when the agp card ram or the system ram gets heated up this type of problem comes .
