I just found a box turtle the other day.. can I put him in with my hermit crabs???

no he will probably try to eat the crabs, also the sand in the tank for the crabs is not the right substrate for a box turtle.

1. No- they want different habitats. Boxies like temperate humid, but hermits like warm humid/wet.

2. No- boxies tend to eat crabs, and larger crabs can nibble turtles.

3. No- in most of their ranges, it is illegal to collect wild boxies.

4. No- wild-caught boxies make poor pets. They just don't thrive in captivity and usually die within a couple years.

NO PUT HIM BACK IN THE WILD!!! ITS ILLEGAL GO GET TURTLES FROM THE WILD TURTLE ARE EXOTIC ANIMALS HARD TO CARE FOR. PUT HIM BACK HE ALSO CANT GO WITH HERMIT CRABS HE WILL DIE OF THE MOISTIER. PUT HIM BACK!!!! I KNOW HE IS COOL BUT DO THE RIGHT THING HE IS WILD.
