This function is defined for every x such that x^2 - 49 <>0, that is, x <> 7 and x<> -7. So, supposing f has it's domain in the reals, the domain is R - {7, -7} (all real numbers except 7 and -7.

All Real numbers other than 7, since 7 would give you a denominator of zero.

What is the range?
