walking a lot, eating spicy food and having lots of sex may help!

Probably since the beginning of time, pregnant women have gotten to the last few weeks of their pregnancy and just want it to all be over. Unfortunately there is no fool-proof method to speed labor along. I have 4 children who were all born PAST their due dates (by 9 days, 11 days, 5 days and 7 days). As my due date approached and then went by, I was so frustrated and tried many things to get it moving. I had sex, nipple stimulation, walked miles, ate spicy food (which I don't like), drove down bumpy back roads, scrubbed floors on my hands and knees, did squats. For me, nothing worked and I went into labor with all 4 at unexpected times. You can try most anything (I'd personally stay away from anything you ingest, such as Castor oil), that does not pose a risk to you or your baby, but truthfully, you'll go into labor when you and your baby are ready.

I really hate seeing these questions in particular. Do you not realize that the baby even coming one week early can lose great developmental time especially for the liver and lungs, no joke.
I think it is VERY!!!!! selfish to want to induce labor, listen there are a whole LOTTA women that have had kids and tons more to come, pregnancy is a commitment just like this kid will be, just cuz (boo-hoo) your tired of being pregnant doesn't mean hey lets induce labor. that baby needs every last day until he needs to come out, the baby will come out when he is READY and fully developed. Wouldn't you feel horrible if your baby came out with complication just cuz you couldn't wait? Seriously, and if it was really time for you to have him and he wasn't coming your DR!!!! would induce you professionally, not with some hair brained schemes you hear off the net.
Geez, sorry to be harsh, but grow some balls, you think pregnancy is hard, wait till labor! And actually being a parent.

I would try walking, I'm trying to walk half an hour everyday and so far I noticed it is really helping the process. I am 39 weeks, but I know the baby will come when she is ready. Good luck.

from a mommy to 3 I say walking, and sex are your best bet. However if this is your first child I would savor the last few weeks or days until you go in cuz after its over you won't be sleeping or spending time alone for a LONG time!

Why can't you be patient?

If it's very painful or something is wrong the doctor will induce you.

But other than that wait on God's time and when the baby is ready to come out.

Your bitiching about two weeks from your due date. Let me tell you something i'm 40 weeks today and i still have no baby yet and i'm hanging in there. You don't think i would like to have my baby already i do but what can you do unless your stupid and do dumb stuff to speed up the pregnancy cause you can't handle it any more. Quit crying and go with the flow.

Sex will help....if that doesn't seem appealing...try raspberry tea...you can get it from a healthfood store. and about 48 hours later you'll be in Labor. Same effects as Castor oil without some of the harmful side effects. Good Luck!

People say it's just an urban myth...when u'r child is ready to come out. eating spicy foods, moving furniture and having sex! I think it's when the baby is ready to be born.

But, however long its takes it's gonna be the "right" time!

Good Luck

Hmmm . . two weeks early. Just to let you know, due dates are not 100% accurate so you could be further along than you realize.

So you want to bring this little one out early? . . Lots of orgasms honey!
