do you fear the US government or other governments more?

Not really.

I'm not nervous about what governments are planning to do, for the most part. I'm more concerned with personal-scale things. When (not if) I'll be layed off and my job shipped overseas, for instance. People who drive SUVs on the highway while chatting on thier cellphone scare me more when they swerve into my lane, nearly crushing my sub-compact, than governments do when they 'hieghten tensions' over some worthless area of the globe or other.

It's not that I don't understand or don't care, it's just not as personal or immediate as getting knocked into a retaining wall at 65mph.

currently... i'm not frightless... yet i'd still prefer this government over ... Saudi Arabia for example?
