or will you pursue a career? Personally, I think it is sad when a mother with young children has to go work outside the home. Children are only young once.

Sorry for the unprofessional typographic error...I'm running out of q's or else I would delete it and repost a corrected version. However, I am low on questions I can ask for the day.

Oh definitely, I'll do anything for my children. I'll stay at home and take care of everything, family for me is very important.

I have been mostly a stay at home Mom for about 20+ yrs. it has been a struggle for my husband and I at times, but during a couple of Christmas seasons I was able to find employment and kick in to the toy fund ( and credit card fund)...I was glad to be there everyday when my kids ( 3 girls) came home from school. Raised during the 60's, I wanted the same for my kids that I had, Mom home when I got home from school, and that rush down the driveway when the call of "Daddy's Home!" was let out. Thank God I was able to stay home with them when they needed me there. My heart goes out to the single parents and married parents of today, with the cost of living so high, staying home is almost financially out of reach-yet so important to the children. Seems to me the kids of today would not be so overweight, hooked on video games, disrespectful, and just plain out of control if more Moms' could stay home, at least through elementary school, when the values are instilled. Maybe some-kind if incentive thru the IRS or the Government, I don't know...but the children of today, are the leaders of tomorrow...aren't they?

being a stay at home mom isn't all it's cut out to be. in my case at least. don't get me wrong, i love raising my children, but the walls close in on me sometimes. my husband is a possesive jerk so i can't go anywhere with or without my kids except to the grocery store and tball games. lame. and he can't afford to pay the bills so it's like get a real job already. he wants me to get a job, but who's gonna take care of the kids. he's the fourth kid in the family. i love my kids, i love my life, but sometimes, i don't want to be here. i'd rather be a single mom happy raising my kids without all the fighting than a married stay at home mom shackled up.

I would love to be a stay at home with my children (I did get to spend alot of time with my son though) but we need two incomes to survive. Not all who work decide to work or persue a career.

OMG, I agree with you on something. The world is coming to an end!!! LOL!! I've been a stay at home Mom for 18yrs and my 2nd career will come soon. There's been times when I have felt left out and not appreciated , but my son's are great and worth it.
We've had to scrape by but me and my husband think we did the best.
NOTHING AGAINST WORKING MOM'S!!!!
I did what I could live with!! Also I didn't have a career before kids and marriage, that also makes a difference.

Of course I would stay home sir!
Not only that it is a mother's duty to take care of her children but I wouldn't want to miss out on watching my children grow up.
It's just like you said, they're only young once.
XOXO

I would do what I would have to do to give my children a good chilhood. Even if it means getting a job or staying at home. As long as they are happy, I am happy.
I agree that childhood is important, it's the care-free time to have fun and not worry so much. I wanna go back. :)
