also i believe the media is in charge. it seems like the media can make anything happen.

You sift thru them all and decide for yourself. Go to Reuters, BBC, newspapers in countries of interest. Watch Sunday news political programs... stay off Fox. The same man Rupert Murdoch has a monopoly on papers, TV and film. He writes it dictates it and is suspect.
Personally, I have come back to ABC. Good Morning America and Charles Gibson at nite. When I compare notes they seem equal to my other research. It is no longer easy just to accept one guy as fact as did our parents and days long ago. Homework is now required.
Yes the media leads and tries to take charge. But, we the consumer have every right to select what we hear and what we woooosh away as trash. Delete, flush, change a channel.
