I went to a beer store here in Eastern Ontario and picked up a 6 pack of Rickard's Red. When I wished the unpleasant child behind the cash register a happy Cinco de Mayo, she looked at me as though I'd just sprouted a fourth eyeball and called me a freak.

So I went home and put on a Gipsy Kings CD, had a couple of beers, and toasted Che Guevera all by myself.

I am an American; I celebrate the 4th of July, Washington's Birthday and Christmas. I do not Celebrate MLK Day, Kwanzaa or Cinco de Mayonnaise. Because I am also a U.S. Marine, I celebrate the Marine's Birthday on November 10th.

It would be just as strange as hearing that the French or Russians celebrate (our) American Independence day. It just doesn't make sense!
