If you're talking about recorded music, you need a music editing program that can edit the form of music you have (mp3, etc.). You can find freeware or shareware at tucows.com. You just have to play with your cuts until it sounds as if they're as clean as you can get them. Your best bet is to cut out one entire verse of the song from chorus to chorus and see if that's short enough. If not, find a good spot and fade it out.

If you mean sheet music, then you need someone who can read music and play the piano to help you mark your music. Good luck!

Audio editing software will let you cut out parts and make the transition smooth.

or you could pay someone at a recording studio to do it.

try audacity or protools if you want to diy.

You can just pick out your favorite part, like the hook and a verse and use that.

As for what equipment you need... I don't know. I'm showing my age a little bit here, but in my day we used to do it with our cassette players. Funny, huh?
