Okay, this is a continuation of my last question because I want to present a counter argument to what most of the ladies were saying. Many women said that if their man had true love for his woman then he wouldn't love anyone else (referring to another wife). I realize in the West many men and women have been 'brainwashed' with this idea. The truth is you can have true love for more than one person. For example a woman can truly love 2 or more of her children or a man can truly love both of his parents. Men having more than one wife is very beneficial during certain times. For example, after World War I and II there were a lot of men killed in battle and the male/female ratio tilted heavily in the women's favor. Polygamy would have been a benefit here because it would have meant that more women could have been a husband. Polygamy does not have to be a selfish thing like it is portrayed in 'the Western World'.

A man should be able to have as many wives as he wants and no woman should tell him differently.
How many wives do you want master?
I promise I will be nice to the others...
XOXO

What a man you are! So willing to share! I think women in general would say that is a bunch of b.s.
And I might add, men as well would agree... Real men anyways...
So hypothetically speaking, would it be considered OK for women to have more than one husband if the ratio was on the flip side of your scenario?
My two cents? I still say I would never ever share my self, nor would I share my hubby... It just would NOT happen... Some things are highly considered sacred in my eyes and in my heart, what I have learned from life... And this is the Biggest one...
It is selfish to look at it any other way... Spoiled man, yes that is it. You want to be spoiled... One woman can do it all, Man up and see if it works for you...
Learn what it takes to be a real Man, live it , breathe it... See if it does not work in your favor...
Now stop trying to brainwash people with this nonsense about multiple wives...
WHAT else have you got? You seem to be fascinated with this One topic...

You must be a sick little puppy to compare the love between a man and woman to the love a mother has for her children or the love a man should have for his parents. If you like eastern standards so much you should go move to the east. After all this is free country and no one is forcing you to remain here. Hey in those so called enlightened countries they also take wives as young as 9 yrs old do you think pedophilia is a great thing also? Why stop at one wife maybe you should get 10. But, to go along with your ideas a woman can have more than one child also shouldn't she be allowed more than one husband?

I have five children - just as many as my husband. If that means he can have five wives then it must also mean I can have five husbands!! What a mess.
It is possible to love many persons - just not in the same way. That has nothing to do with how many wives a man should have - or husbands a wife should have. God created one wife for one man. A real man is a man who can love and cherish one wife her whole life - and the same goes for the wife, or course.

Loving your parents, or loving your children, do not compare to your spouse. If you want more than one wife, and you can find them, more power to you. As for my husband, he can't keep up with me. There is no way he could handle two!

I believe that men and women are equal in status. I wouldn't have a problem with men having multiple wives, if women are given equal consideration and are allowed to have multiple husbands.

I think it's fine, as long as no one in the marriage/relationship has a problem with it and as long as everyone is honest about it.

But only (of course!) if women would be allowed to have more than one husband, too. Just to make things fair.

If the wife is truly faithful to him as well as I, I'll accept it. But she must take care of my child so I can take care of hers.
