I have low blood pressure this pregnancy. it has gone down to 94 and been around 125 usually. I was btween 135-140 before I was pregnant. I have been feeling great since being pregnant. I am thinking its the blood pressure.

But how low is too low and when can it cause a problem for the baby if ever? I have felt dizzy but not passing out. I know they say that moving around helps and I am doing that . But when my dr's off saw that it was 100/80 they said nothing about it ( even though they used the regual cuff on me and they were supposed to use the bigger cuff--reg cuff shows a false high reading--so the 100 was high)

I have a home BP monitor and I ahve looged myself as having bp as low as 89/80

can someone help me please.

i think lower blood pressure is normal in pregnancy, especially in the beginning. my usual rate is 127/72 and since i got pregnant is september, it had dropped to around 98/64 to 106/67...that was at the beginning, like the first 6 months. now, my pressures are abit elevated, but nothing too alarming. i don't think you have anything to worry about. if you start feeling very, VERY dizzy and lightheaded ,more than you have already, or any thing out of the norm, call your doctor asap...hopefully this helped a little!

3 years ago, I was diagnosed - hypertension with a reading of 160/100. I used to feel dizzy a lot, my legs had awful cramps, and levels were very low in my potassium, causing my fingers and toes to always cramp together. One day I started to feel really faint while I was driving with my daughter in the back seat and I passed out, hitting 3 cars and ending up in a ditch. That moment,I knew I had to do something because my meds weren't working. I heard about this diet from a friend and thought I'd give it a shot. The results have been remarkable. In just 21 days, I honestly can't remember feeling this good, my blood pressure went from 175/110 to 125/70.

I too have low blood pressure (and not because Im super fit), and real low when pg. I went out on webmd, think its called hypotension (vs hyper) when dangerously low. You could do some searches on that. I even think it said one thing to try was eating salt. I remember talking to the nurse about it too, and said a real concern was if you would ever need anethesia. May depend on how pg you are also. Best thing would be to talk to your doc or nurse of course, and might as well bring in a chart, since you have the home monitor.
