My mom said that she remembered going to the bathroom at work intending to put in a tampon because she is on her period..and when she got home from work she went to the bathroom and wanted to remove the tampon and put in a new one and she said she did not find a string hanging out and she tried to reach inside her vagina for the tampon but it wasn't inside so she put in a new one. She says that she doesn't remember if she put it in or not at work. She always wears a tampon and a pad when on her period because her period is really heavy. And if she didn't put in the tampon at work..then wouldn't she have leaked through her pad since pads aren't enough protection for her???? I'm really worried about her!! Is there any way that two tampons could have been inside her and she can't find it still. Or do you think she just doesn't remember putting it in.

Since a baby can come out of there, it is certainly possible to be holding 2 tampons. It is best to make an appointment with her GYN if she isnt sure...........she doesnt want an infection.

Depending on the style and brand it is possible to insert 2 tampons but probably not likely after years of practice removing one to replace the other is pretty much automatic you don't have to think about it, but if she did accidentally push the string up this could lead to serious problems, she might ask her husband to glove up and double check as he will be able to reach much farther, douching while not recommend more than 2 or 3 times a month might also help if tip is inserted all the way and forceful pressure is applied, if all else fails go see the doc it's not an emergency but don't let any grass grow under your feet.

OMG relax! You probably put two up without realizing. I've done it. You have done no damage to yourself. So don't worry They could be side by side if you have enough blood flow and the other string could have been bunched up inside of you. There are no health risks. Read this: Once a girl reaches puberty, the hymen tends to become quite elastic. It is not possible to determine whether a woman uses tampons or not by examining her hymen. Sexual intercourse is one of the most common ways to damage the hymen, although in one survey only 43% of women reported bleeding the first time they had sex; which means that in the other 57% of women the hymen likely stretched enough that it didn't tear (or that bleeding was not noticed by the partners) -Wiki.

This happen to my friend not to long ago. she went to a party and forgot to take her tampon out and then she didn't realize it tell she had a terrible smell coming from her. She was freaking out and then she went looking and found the tampon. So she was putting tampons in when she already had one in there..so its possible.

Thats happened to me before, I put a tampon in and forgot there was another one in there. I've also forgotten to take one out for a couple days after my period ended! Its not too big of a deal (i never did it again though!)

Have your mom see a doctor to remove the tampon that's still in there. You cannot feel a tampon inside you if it is way up there. (You normally don't feel it if it's inserted right.)

Tampons do NOT fall out like the so-called "nurse" said. It's impossible.

It's obviously still in there since she is not leaking.

Good luck. :)

could have forgotten to put it in while she was at work or the tampon could just be farther up then she can reach to get it out. if she feels weird then she should go she her doctor. i mean she should be able to feel weather or not she has a tampon in.

yes 2 can fit in there, BUT if she can't find it then a second one is not in there because there is no where else for it to go and the vacuum (area) isn't that large. A woman either feels it or not, so don't worry anymore.

I'd advise her to go to her Doctors as soon as she can. I have heard of this happening before, and cause an infection. So she needs to get it checked out ASAP.
