based on yesterday at a gas station that is not the cheapest or the highest priced- i can fill my tank up 111.111~ times with $5,000. and there's only 52 weeks in a year... if it is a ''free gas for a year'' contest, prize, or give-away, those usually have limits and stipulations that consumers don't initially see. plus since the gas craze has been around, people automatically consider any free gas way better than it actually is. Yes, $5,000 can go quite quickly if you just blow it~ but i definately would be more excited with that amount of cash right then in my hand, than boring- old gas coupons... %^@

With today's gasoline prices here in the states, it kinda equals out. A year's worth of gas would be about $5,000. I think I would take the gasoline because that much cash in hand would disappear pretty fast!

$5,000 cash! I live so close to work, and shop so close, that I only spend maybe $100 a month in gas, so it would be much better to have that money!

5,000 in cash. I'd be able to pay off my gas-gussling pick up truck and still have money left over as a down payment on a hybrid!
