Not bad but I perfer:

Hawk Neslon(The One Thing I Have Left, Bring Em Out)
Broken Yoke(Vapor, Caught in the moment)
Kutless(Strongtower, Hearts of the Innocent)

no, Pillar is not the best band ever. Not even close.

After listening to the music on their site, I would have to say "no". Sounds like every other hard rock band on the market these days. It takes 20 years to really sort out that kind of statement..
