I am too ata loss to understand as to why he was not given any opportunity to play a single game in the World Cup. I strongly feel that atleast in the game against Bermuda, he should have been played.

yusuf pathan have performed well in IPL but have no international games status on the other hand irfan pathan was the man of the match in 2007 t-20 world cup final. So it should be Irfan for the world cup

Prior to the World Cup, Pathan hadn't played for about a month, because his fitness was in doubt. He was taken to the West Indies anyway as he performed well in one of the regional games. Why he wasn't played in the group matches is a something I can't understand either, because it's not like the other bowlers were doing extremely well.
Maybe they wanted to save him for the Super Eights, which never happened anyway!

I think he deserved to play in the world cup but probably team management had some other plans and they did not want to qualify for the next round so they did not use their options lest India qualify for super 8 stages and they will have to stay away from home for a long time.

Because he is too young to play now. As India's team believe in experience and old player to win the match rather than talent. that's the result of believing in experience only and not on talent. actually he deserve to play this world cup.

a) India played only 3 matches.
b) On current form, he did not merit a place in the eleven.
c) If he had been taken into the team, Karthik would have had to be dropped.

Because basically he is a bowler and was out of form.It is very simple why you people are trying to make/create fuss over it.I think you people do not have anything else to do,or you want to be a politician of the future.

Good sincere ones r erradiacted & only bad corrupted & lazy ones r permitted to play in the team...this is the team condition.
