What do you mean by Christian?

Maybe cos they like them, the same reason white men wear them.

You surely are not serious when you ask "What do you mean by Christian?" In case you are the most simple explanation is that someone who believes in God is Christian. On rare occassions someone may wear a cruicifix necklace just because they think they are macho but really unlikely as it is a clear statement that you believe in christianity. Not only black men wear crucifix necklaces, many white males and females also do as in the huge variation of coloured skin between white and black.

i don't think every black man wears a crucifix.....and the ones that do are either christian or they are just wearing it as a kind of fashion accessory...like you get some jewish people wearing a star of david even though they aren't religious....ya get me

Because contrary to public opinion just because they are black does not mean they can't be catholic. Not all blacks are baptist. Sammy Davis jr was jewish. oh by the way i am white.common sense should tell you not to assume something about someone based on race.
