We should be used to it after evovling from homonids that pretty much lived in grass....

If they had fur, wouldn't it not bother them? We don't have fur, so it's probably an irratation for us.

there are a lot of reasons, such as small invertebrates wonder around trying to eat. and pollen is all over the place, and if you look at them under a microscope, you'll find most microscopic razor sharp edges. this also accounts for why you sneeze during pollen season.

Its not the grass itself it the pesticleds and whatnot we humans put on the grass that makes us itchy
