When I was younger I had this bf that my family didn't like. I couldn't understand it, because I loved this guy or so I thought... (is it really love)? Well to make a long story short, he played with my feelings and emotions and broke my heart. The moral of the story is... if your family doesn't like this guy it's for a reason... he's probably no good for you... You don't see it now but you will... hopefully before he breaks your heart. So... what I think you should do... I say go out with the other guy... hell if Drew really likes you...let him work for your affection!!!!

The fact that your family and friends don't like this guy doesn't mean they're right. It doesn't mean they're wrong, either. Still, I would guess you're still pretty young - you might not see things that other people see, because you're so closely bound up in all that, and you don't yet have the experience to recognize stuff. That's normal - don't be hard on yourself!
Now as to the going out stuff - is there some reason why you can't date two boys at the same time? It's not like you're getting married, after all. Just be honest with both of them, and don't worry about it. It's probably better to not get too involved with any single person when you're just starting to go out, anyway. This is practice time, when you start to figure out the rules and customs of relationships - it shouldn't be "For The Rest Of Your Life" time, for goodness' sake. Of course, you deserve better, by the way - they'll always think you "deserve better", even after you finally make up your mind who you want - but it's your choice, not their's!

you are obviously YOUNG and there is no ring on the finger so, as long as you are NOT SEXUALLY INTIMATE with EITHER guy---why not go out with BOTH.... I mean you have look at a LOT of cars before you buy the "RIGHT ONE", why not look at a lot of GUYS before you find the right one also.... There is no law that says you can't date two at once but NO SEX though----not with EITHER. Here's the thing though---you SAY you love Drew, but you broke up--couldn't have loved him THAT much because NO amount of peer pressure could have broken you up if you DIDN'T want to do it. Also, you should look at WHY everyone seems to be against this Drew... is there something about him THEY see that you don't because of your feelings for him? you are going to meet and date a LOT of guys before you mature enough and find the "RIGHT ONE"....no rush....but in the meantime, casual sex MAY be fun, but it can cause a LOT of heartache, UNPLANNED and UNWANTED PREGNANCY, and DISEASES that you will have for LIFE... so, go out with whomever you want just don't make dates for the same night and time with 2 different boys...oh and two dates in one night is a little much as well but it's been done... PROTECT YOURSELF at ALL COSTS and you should be fine.

You need to learn about "self-control," otherwise you wouldn't have made the mistake of saying "yes" to two different guys. You also need to learn about honesty...if you had told drew that you were dating someone else then he would have taken back his offer. And I doubt you have told the current guy about Drew asking you out because you are too much of a coward to face the consequences of your actions.

It's not up to your family and friends, if you're sure you love this guy then go with it. And if it turns out bad, that's just another lesson learned in life. In the end, you can only win.

The one who is dating this drew guy is you,not your family or friends. It should be your decision. If you love him then go back to him. That's all.
