My patch kinda hurts and just feels weird. My surgery was 2 years ago. I've had addominal swelling and now numbness in my left arm/chest area. Docs have done everything imaginable.

your doctors have done everything they know to do and you are asking that question here? Good grief, if you don't believe your doctors find one you do believe.

If that area hurts and feels funny, I would be more worried about it being infected or causing adhesions than just being broken. If it were broken, likely you should see the return of the hernia. I doubt X-ray will see a broken mesh; a CT should be able to see it IF the broken mesh has moved out of the normal tissue planes...if not, CT may not detect it either.

It is highly possible you have some other processes going on in your body other/as well as your hernia area. I hope you have a primary care doctor that is helping consolidate all of your care and tests...keeping track of what all the specialists are doing, so nothing is missed.

Take care and best of luck.

After 6 years, over 15 doctors, and everyone else s comments, my mesh implant is still giving me issues.
This is a Kugel Composix patch, by Bard/Davol.
Now, I have a hydrocele on the same side/area as the implant.
Constant aching, jabbing, tingling, balance issues.
The implant area (laparoscopic) is sensitive and still puffed out slightly.
If you, in the reality world of make-believe, think for one moment that these are just complaints , I personally challenge you to get injured (blunt trauma, external), and have a Kugel Patch implanted.
Whoever RN is, in the comment area, you need to do YOUR OWN research before you pass judgment.
