depends on how good and how old. A year or 2 maybe.. more than that i think not.

Most definately not. Remember that old guy who auditioned this year? He was really good! But he was 64! So heck yes they are not gonna let the age limit slide! The target audience of the show is represented in the age limit - and since when did anyone want a little 9 year old, or a wobbly 70 year old as the American Idol? People want young, hip and fresh Idols, not Idols in walkers or licking a lollypop. Think about it.

nope...but its the age of when u try out so some pple may b 29 by the time the show is acctually shown on TV, but they were 28 when they tried out
