I just saw a question "Who is Stevie Wonder".
Just typing those two words in yahoo or google will give you a million hits on every aspect of this guys life.
Why ask it here ????

People ask questions here because they want live feed back. That person might just be upset with steevie wonder and wanted to know 'who the hell does he think he is?' Dont get pissed off, just relax, it's fun when you're not busy. be polite and cheer up.

Most simple questions can be answered with a Yahoo Search as you point out. Instead of giving direct answers I often write something like: "A Yahoo Search: Stevie Wonder [or whatever] will get your answer." I hope that my reply will get the asking person to think about trying the Yahoo Search (or Google, etc.) method before asking on this forum.

If they don't know who Stevie Wonder is they must live in a dag gone closet...i mean he's been around since MOTOWN WAS STARTED...Even foreign people know who Stevie is...ya got to be kidding me...yeah this person is ignorant to this fact...a wasted question

Some folks either don't know how to Google or are just too lazy to do it. Sometimes I do just want to answer "Google it" but I'm generally a nice person so I'll answer if I know.

because when you're bored at work and you have nothing better to do, the fact that you get answers from people all over the world is a little more intriquing than picking it up on Wikipedia

About twice a day some asks about Pokemon diamonds,
about every three hour someone asks "how do I lose weight"

Because we don't know if you're a 9-year old kid who loves music, wants to learn about great musicians, and thinks this was the best way to do it.
