AA has been declared at least "religious in nature" by the Second and Seventh Federal District Courts, The New York State Court of Appeals, and the Supreme Court of Tennessee.

The Second District Court:
NY, VT, CT

The Seventh:
WI, IL, IN

This violates the Establishment Clause and AA Traditions.

I don't know which states have ruled AA a religion, but as an insider I agree. The courts should be forced to stop sending people to AA. Most AA's treat AA literature as infallible doctrine, I do not. I am a critical voice within AA. I see its good points and bad. The cult faction of our membership are dictatorial and do not allow debate. They are the cancerous tumor inside AA causing the State legislators to react and pass laws protecting the general public from us as a whole. Most Internet AA forum boards are moderated by cult members in direct violation of Tradition Two.
