The rear axle is supposed to remain in place, but if you have a loose or broken spring, sway bar, or retaining mount problem then the axle can shift back and forth. The shifting will definitely give the impression of fish-tailing.
If left alone (unrepaired) it is guaranteed to get worse and it can come completely loose and cause the car to steer from the rear and go out of control.
Been there, done that. It ain't good.
This concern must be addressed by a mechanic, and quickly.
Hopefully, you may find it is something simple, like a spring retainer, but it is very important to get it fixed.

mercy, this could be a lot of things, but first check the air pressure in the tires.. and take it to a shop and let them see what is very loose on the suspension. don't drive it too much untill you get this checked out. it's hard enough to keep them on the road as it is.so get it checked on a front end machine... or a good mechanic..
