Umm no! However I was taking the dog on Holiday which was a short trip by ship, 8 hours and 16 hours in the car. The dog I had rescued from the local Animal Welfare Pound, so really knew nothing about History. However Dog does not like traveling in the car. I went to the Vet who prescribed some anti-anxiety pills and no joking it turned the animal into the Dog from Hell, red eyes the lot! Once on Holiday I went to a Pet Shop and they gave me some pills for Dog. They worked a treat, Dog was flat out all the way home. It was a rough sea crossing and when I collected Dog from the on board kennel, well Dogs bed was 'floating' and Dog sat in middle. Once home I thought I best check the ingredients, seems it was Valrium Oil, better known as Valium.

Are you sure it's not CHAMPIX you mean? As far as I am aware, in the UK there's Zyban and Champix to aid not smoking. I haven't had a cig for 4 days now, my GP put me on Champix, and I took them for 3 days. The side effects are terrible and I've had children, and it was worse than been pregnant! I had a migraine, I vomitted, I had a runny bottom, and I felt terrible. This lasted for 3 days after the last pill I took and when I saw my GP he said it's quite common and the side effects DO NOT die down in time. Although they do stop you enjoying a cig, I will admit that much. I've not smoked for 4 days and doing well with nothing, although the champix did give me a helping hand. But I won't take them again. YUK! Good luck xxx

I tried them a few years ago. After about 8 weeks of taking them, they made my brain work really fast. I couldn't talk quick enough and wasn't finishing my sentences or changing the subject really quickly, but yes they did lessen my depressive feelings, mostly coz I kept laughing that I couldn't talk!
If I took them again, I'd take a lesser dose, but I would go back to them as I prefer natural meds.

Hello, I tried both normal Kalms, and the night time ones. To be pretty honest, I didnt feel much off them, and I took about 5 or 6 of them. Its just all in the head, I think.

Yes - in my experience they do tend to work. However, they are no substitute for sorting out the stress thats in your life. Try a relaxation cd along with a good hard look at your life. Sometimes you have to make tough choices in order to free up your time, and allow yourself some 'me' time. If you seriously need to calm down, you need to get to work and organise your world.

i tried kalms and didnt think it was anything more than a sugar sweet! i think its very much to do with if you believe in that sorta thing i went in with a negative frame of mind from the start but it was a last resort (i had a driving test) and found they didnt work. i found other calming methods such as favourite songs or a couple of minutes time out (with a coffee ^_^) helped more

Sorry not really therapeutic.
Another load of herbal bunkum!
In the few months I have been answering 'Health Answers' I have had my eyes really opened. I had no idea that such a high percentage of the population are so naive as to believe in the myths, potty patent medicines, illegal drugs, illegally purchased prescription only drugs, charlatans and just plain crooks, purporting or pretending that they can fix them.
The problem is also that to be allowed on the market most of these preparations only have to prove that you are not very likely to drop dead soon after you take them! Once this is established they appear to legally be able to make any wild and unsubstantiated claim they like!

I've got a bottle next to my bed right now!
I don't take them often - but they really helped my when I've had a really bad day - maybe its a placebo effect - but it works for me!
