I am a male, and I think I might want to major in Gynecology. No, it's not for some cheap thrill of inspecting women or being 'the lady inspector', but it is because I enjoy healing, and take pride in working with womena nd comforting them on a non-romantic or sexual manner, with rpoblems that conflict them. I simply do not feel comfortable with doing the equivalent of this job of working with men for experiences in my life etc.

For these reasons, is there any reason to feel wrong about working toward gynecology? I'm tired of the stereotype of these doctors being perverts, because I know that on the job I wouldn't be looking at anything besides what I've been issued to, and I would not feel any way about patients other than...well, as patients.

No, there is no need to feel wrong about going into gynecology if you are doing it for all the right reasons. Any medical field is an admirable position, and you should be proud of your decision and try your best to follow what you think is right...

Though posting this in Comics and Animation isn't the right place for it

no theres nothing wrong with majoring in gynecology.
if someone thinks that you're doing it because you're a pervert, who cares? dont listen to them. gynecologists are needed. if no one majored in gynecology then it would just be really horrible... so dont worry about it. do what u feel is right. if you feel gynecology is your calling then by all means major in it.
good luck!

you are in the wrong section.
do what you want to do. if you get a scholarship or something then you don't have to do what your parents say. but looking at diseased females private parts is not a joke. seriously some of them are so bad, you feel like swearing off sex for ever.

if you are old enough to go to med school, you are old enough to pick your own specialty. Your family will grow accustomed to your choices, or they won't, that's their problem. Good luck with your studies.
