A little now,
come later,
eternity today.
An apple full of seeds,
created on destruction,
hardships handed over,
pain is insight.
Angels weeping,
quenching my thirst,
the Gods admiring my loss.

My friend gave me this,

It sounds like a reference to humanity's being kicked out of the garden of Eden. Not to say that the poet necessarily believes that tale (or that the reader should) but a birth of pain or "loss" of something is evident here.

re metaphor Adam, Eve and the apple.
Man chose knowledge over ignorant bliss.
The apple brought destruction of the garden but held the seeds of man's future.
In gaining knowledge, man was given the hardships of labor and childbirth.
Tears of the Angels quench narrator's thirst (for knowledge?)

it seems like it refers to sacrifice and suffering. A comment on the circle of life. Good things created by bad things. You don't know how to live unless you have suffered.
