Redear sliders are omnivorous and they will eat any fish they can catch. I had one and it obviously didn't know the myth that turtles won't eat anything bigger than their head because he ate several fish as big as he by pulling their eyes out so they couldn't get away.

The best you can hope for is prolonging the fishes survival by giving them terrain to escape and hide in. Something the turtle won't get stuck in, but also can't get into or turn over, because they will burrow.

In a word, No.

You'll need 2 tanks. One for Yertle the Turtle and the other for one-fish two-fish red-fish blue-fish.

No, i wouldnt... The turtle would probably eat them... Its best to keep them in seperate tanks...
