first problem is a Side side Angle (SSA) Triangle

Law of signs

sinA / a = sinB / b

sin108 / 30 = sinB / 20

20(sin108) / 30 = sinB

20(0.951056516) / 30 = sinB

19.02113033 / 30 = sinB

0.634037678 = sinB

39.3486473 degrees = sinB

39.3° = sinB

For the first one you say a = 30 and later find side a. Assuming that you mean find side c then this would be done with the cosine rule for triangles in an usual form
a^2 = b^2 + c^2 - 2bc*CosA
Putting in the values you know gives
900 = 400 + c^2 - 40c*Cos108
This is a quadratic in c which you should be able to solve.

The second is a straight use of the cosine rule.
The harder question being first makes me wonder whether I am right in assuming you need to find side c.
