This occurs everywhere. Even in nice restaurants.

They are gross.Even when the people working in these places wear plastic gloves they are still touching everything else.Went into dangelos sub shop and the kid working there ( thank god not serving my family) wore gloves but after making the sub, went to the register and handled the money as well. Also at papa ginos the sub maker answered the phone and punched in the order on the computer with the same gloves he is prepairing food with.Needless to say I don't go to those places anymore and I never go to Mcd's.My son occasionally gets Burger king against my better judgement.I preety much don't want anything to do with eating out at all anymore.I am a fanatic when cooking.Alway cleaning the area around my cooking and always washing my hands!!

Well, I work at Burger King in the US and for management training I had to got to a seminar and a ServSafe course. We had to watch this video from 20/20 (dated in the '90s) that took a hidden camera into different restaurants around the US and it was HORRIBLE! At a Dunkin Donuts, someone had a personal itch, and didn't wash their hands and grabbed someone a donut. Then at a Wendy's someone couldn't grab the cheese so they licked their fingers and grabbed it. And lastly, I don't remember where it was at, (Pizza Hut I think) they had a rat problem and they were having a contest to see how many they could kill, then they were storing them in the cooler, with all the food. After that, I wasn't able to eat anywhere else but my own store, because we definitly follow all the codes.

You know they all do something similar to that. Many years ago, I got hired on at KFC. Back then it was still Kentucky Fried Chicken and our store owner, not manager, told us cooks that if something fell onto the floor, just pick it up with the tongs and dip it in the hot oil. That was along time ago and she has probably died, so don't anyone go and try to pull one over on KFC. But yes it does happen. There is a saying that what the eye can't see, the heart can't feel. So eat at all of them. The only thing I hate is when you find a hair in your food. That just about does it for me, but one thing good about that is that the next one is free (the food not the hair)

I HAVE worked at a Wendy's and let me just say that it happens everywhere. I have learned what to look for since working there. I actually quit because the manager kept scratching his balls, no lie, and then went on to serving food. There are so many disgusting stories. All restaurants are not like that though. It is the PEOPLE of the restaurants that make it that way. If the idiots in the cooperate offices actually cared about their company, then maybe, just MAYBE, we'd actually be able to go to a restaurant and not be grossed out....people actually doing their jobs, ha!, like that'll ever happen!!

If you ask around enough you'll hear something about every fast food place. As for the windex in a burger story, I would be able to taste it, so I don't believe that one.

Honestly it is not the restaruant it is the employees. I managed a Burger King and the corporation has their policies and common sense dictates the rest. If you friend served the food that way it was his choice I'm sure. He sounds like someone who might be afraid to tell a manager he messed up and therefore we end up with his mistakes and possible food poisoning.

I have heard of the exact same things happening. That's why I think all commercial eateries (from fast food to fancy restaurants) should have glass/plastic walls. Everything should be open so that the customers can see everything....should they wish to.
What's anybody got to hide?
