I know one of these people, and she is not even a high school graduate.
The right wing talk shows have convinced these feeble minded folks with over simplified ideas and flawed logic. Being feeble minded, these folks cannot see the flaw in the ideas nor the flaws in the logic used to prove that the right wing answers make a lot of sense.
Business has to work on profit; if they don't then they will be out of business. The more profit the business makes, the more money shareholders put in their pockets. Pres. Bush is a pro business president while the Great Dyck is "helping" (read as printing money for) Haliburton's owners. Hence we are living in an unbalanced environment.
These business people use the war to earn more profits, not just the big players like Haliburton, but medium and small businesses that supply services or products to the big players.
With all this money out there for grabs, right wing radio is pushing that agenda and getting kick backs or possibly they own stock in some of these companies. Regardless, radio is making money off the war and the continue to propagate the war to keep the bucks rolling in.
The war is not the only tool that is useful for higher profits. Making a business more environmentally friendly usually has a negative affect on profits. Hence, to keep profits high, business wants to keep expenses, such as "Green" processes or machinery out of the equation.
How do they do that? By convincing mindless sheep that going Green is too expensive and businesses will close.
What these sheep don't realize is that the economy is like that. Outdated factories cannot compete with modern more efficient ones. (Wrought Iron was a huge industry at the turn of the 1900s that became obsolete because of market forces.) The outdated factories close and perhaps the business owners that did not update lose a lot of money, while new factories open and make a profit because of their efficient systems.
It is much easier and less expensive to keep a factory that has been running for a long time. running. Hence the owners of these factories have quite the propensity to keep the status quo.
Furthermore, these factory owners have a loud voice, and sometimes they augment that voice with their workers' voices. Scaring someone into doing something has been done often enough in this country. All the owners need to do is tell their work force that they will be out of a job if such a bill becomes law. The people in government will definitely hear from these people that don't want to lose their jobs.
While there are business groups that want to start new factories that have an advantage, such as being green, they have a more difficult time getting the laws that make their future factories more viable passed. Furthermore, they do not yet have a huge work force to pressure the law makers into passing the green bills.
Once these so called "good guys," that want to build green factories, actually build the factories, they will most likely be opposing progressive liberal laws to keep their profits up.
Business has no conscience, just an eye for the profit margin. The people have to look out for their well being which the liberal minded ones are doing.
So to sum it up, these feeble minded people that trash progressive liberal ideas are the puppets with their radio stations pulling the strings.
Einstein said it quite well "Great spirits encountered violent opposition by mediocre minds".
And to quote another great character of our time "that's all I have to say about that."

Interlink is the EFTPOS division of VISA, operating mainly in the United States. Contrary to a regular VISA check card purchase, an Interlink transaction is authenticated using using a personal identification number and offers the possibility of obtaining cash back (purchase + withdrawal) from a merchant.

What interlink would that be? I have heard of the Internet and a variety of interlinked websites. But no specific interlink is involved generally. Maybe you can ask someone with a 12 th grade education or less to help you figure it out.

it just depends what you agree with. If you don't understand an argument or are unwilling to listen then you will only see the arguments or slurs you agree with. The things liberals say will have little meaning to you and seem like lies or feeble attempts. Perhaps saying how it is, is not dramatic enough for you, you need insults and such to feel like you've "won" an argument.
Indeed most people are ignorant, so some children who think they know it all, they would never listen the old man on the mountain. They will sit around and agree with eachother. 12 kids chasing after the fat boy screaming "get the piggy" they feel like they've won, after all the majority agrees that the fat kid must be killed and he's little match for them. So they win. Were these prep school kids turned tribal sacrificers right, have they learned something real about the world.

Libs are easy - its true, too bad they aren't the libs of the 50's-60's, no rational person can be on board with they're socialist, anti-Christian values.
teakstone - you write too much and say too little, but let's talk about "logic" According to your logic we should involve the government in business more in order to ensure that market forces are at work. If as you say war is good for business, aren't you in fact saying that government expenditure on weapons systems is driving our economy? Can you tell us how Walmart makes money off of the sale of Humvees while Ford and GM are in a slump? Do the Humvee workers spend all of their money in Walmart in Anchorage Alaska? They must get there using public transportation. Do high sales on Ipods mean that every soldier is equipped with one?

Mudmarin, it is statement like yours, that lumps everyone into the same category and paints them with the same broad brush shows how your, and your ilks, views work. Everything is black and white. No shades of gray.
That is what is hurting this country and precludes any ability to have a dialog that is rational!
More Democrats have college educations than Republicans, and most are more well rounded and would not choose your response! We know there is no such thing as everyone! In addition, all democrats are not liberal. Your second mistake!
Don't worry about us questioner. We gave them enough rope, and now they are hanging themselves!

K that is my thought too what is an interlink? My education is much higher than 12 grade how bout u? I would be a liberal if liberals were what they started to be in the 60's, but what u are calling liberal is truly socialism not my cup of tea to have someone tell me what I can do where I can work and how many kids I should have. But hay if that is your bag of Trix why not just move to CHINA it is already set up the way ya want it.
P.S. Notice I didn't call names!

Because liberals are not angry or violent enough. I personally see no reason why any "republican" or "conservative" should be allowed to live in America, and have done my part to ban them from both my community and businesses. Let's face it folks.. republicans are child molestors and pedophiles. Take a look at their "heroes" www.armchairsubversive.com
It is not safe to have the republican criminal fascist scourge in your neighborhood. The rest of the world also views right-wingers as what they are... terrorists and scum.

Honestly, I have no idea.
Example: I have a female "admirer", she has sent me a couple of insulting mails and after she did, she asked a question about me in the same manner....
Why she did? I guess just because she is a spoiled bored kid. Everybody who knows me a bit on here ( no matter what political orientation ) does know I never write any hate mails to anybody . This is just a childish behavior I smirk about.
BTW , she can't destroy me ;-)

12 Grade Education lol? Interlink lol? Okay, you didn't get that far did you? You poor thing. I've yet to see any liberals "destroyed." I guess having an inferior education lends itself to drama queen statements as well.
