gangrene is an infection by anaerobic bacteria that causes tissue death, the tissue then has to be removed. It isn't a disease, it is an infection, so being infected once doesn't mean you are immune, in fact it means you are now prone to getting it. Don't ignore any wound on your body, take care of it.

Wow. Gangrene is bad. It is usually treated with antibiotics. I guess you can get gangrene if it isn't cured or if you get another bad infection that turns into gangrene. Do a search on gangrene and you will see what I mean.

gangrene is tissue death. your doctor will want to debride (scrape) it off. Why would you not take proper care of a wound? And yes you can get it anytime circulation is interfered. with.
