I mean is this guy really that great that he can tell teams when he feels like starting HIS year? I don't think being 7-6 last year deems him this status, and kinda doubt it's about being a true Yankee, just means the Red Sox weren't willing to shell out as much money, because obviously if he wanted to actually win he would have went to Boston, and I don't even like either team, so save the biased comments.

I dont personally care who YOU are, come to spring training like everyone else, travel with your team like everyone else, be a baseball player like everyone else. Roger Clemens you are not a GOD, so stop acting like one. PS Hope your Yankees fall flat on their faces, another time to prove you cant buy championships. REAL players play for the LOVE of the game not for bigger bucks, so there arent many REAL players of the game anymore.

I give this question a resounding 'YES'! That announcement was ridiculous over the weekend. Clemens is a Yankee! Riding in on his white horse to save the day! BIG FREAKING DEAL! If his game is still as good as his ego, he MIGHT be able to get the Yanks a wild card berth. I hope the Rocket crashes and burns and takes the Bronx Bombers with him!!!

Personally, I like the guy. Easy Hall of Famer and he does things his way. I admire the fact that he doesn't play by the rules......who the heck would want to deal with spring training anyway? His contract with the hated Yankees has nothing to do with last years numbers, it based on his proven performance over his career. (not saying I agree with this).

He's pretty irrelevant. He's pretty much used up and the Yankees are grasping at straws. He'll be a non-factor and could be another reason to laugh at the Yankees this year.

Not sick of Clemens, the greatest pitcher of all time. I'm sick of the Yankees and Red Sox. That's all you get on ESPN.

Bucks, bucks and more bucks. He was a failure for us last year. 3 good innings pitched in total play offs. Hope the Yankees are happy.

I don't like Clemens but in this case $28 million for one year, when your career was basically over, WOW. Who could pass that up?

Me, right here! I live in Houston and all I hear is BOO HOO Rocket betrayed us. Blah blah blah. 'Stros are gonna need a lot more than a 45 year old arm to turn their season around.

He is bad for the game. He is basically saying April and May are not a impotent part of the season.
