Why are you so angry? This is a sign of rejection. Not all old people are this way, are they?

I have wondered the same thing. Just think about it, driving is frustrating, there are some idiot people out there that make you wonder how on earth they got their license. Now imagine having to deal with the same thing over and over for about forty or fifty more years of your life. Don't you think that ultimately you would get to a place where you don't care what people think of you or your driving anymore? All you care about is getting where you need to go and being able to get out of the freaking car.
I'm just trying to put myself in their shoes and see it from their prosepective. They really are terrible drivers, but remember that they have had to face rush hour a lot more times than you, and coupled with their now bad hearing and eyesight, they kind of have an excuse.

I don't like making generalizations, but I've noticed that a lot of old people do pick their noses when they're driving, and in public, period...not ALL, but I've seen a lot do it...

Those are habits they picked up when they were young.
Wait until you get old - you'll be the same way.
