Girls are always saying...."He's so hot" "But he's gay" "Oh man I wish he was straight" or something along those lines. Any secrets you can give to a straight guy that might help me ?

Excellent self-grooming. Great dressers for the most part. Good listeners and give GREAT advice. Easy shoulders to cry on. And yea, they aren't in it to win it. If we befriend them, it's just that...a friendship. They arent trying to sleep with us or anything.

I NEVER EVER wish they were straight. I prefer people to be happy, not conformists. As for why I absolutely adore Gay and bisexual men, I do not know yet.. After some serious question asking from others like me, none of us have our fingers on why. I know that If I were to be presented with identical twins, I would find the gay/bisexual one much more attractive. Maybe I am a bisexual man in a woman's body, but either way, many of them are beautiful, kind and absolutely SEXY!! No this isn't stereotyping at all. Look at the percentages of the population. There is a much higher percentage of good looking men within the group than there are heterosexual men. NOTE: I said Percentage. Not #'s. Considering that the Heterosexual population is far larger.

Hey there,

Well, for starters, all of this is based upon generalizations and stereotypes so just remember that. For starters, gay men don't normally drool all over women hitting on them incessantly. Since gay men listen to women, talk to them, may or may not be able to relate but at least often show signs of sympathy and empathy WITHOUT THE HIDDEN AGENDA of getting into their pants, often makes a person feel more wanted and respected; not simply a piece of fresh meat hanin' in the window on display for all to see. Some gay men also share the female "obsession" with shopping! Ya, then there's the debate about gay men being clean, tidy, neat appearances, takes time coiffing the hair and plucking the eye brows. Not every gay man does that and not every straight man is a "metrosexual".

Your question/arguement is based upon the old stereotypes that straight men are filthy, dirty, unkempt pigs who only think of sex and food; gay men are whispy effeminate men who enjoy many of the pamperings/trappings that straight women enjoy. If given the choice between talking to a well dressed, groomed man who listens attentively and enjoys doing many of the same things as she does versus spending time with a beer guzzlin' sports watching overweight slug, what do you think? Of course there are many men and women who do not fit these stereotypes who get lost in the shuffle.

Cheers.

Hmm lets see, Gay guys tend to be more like having a great girlfriend, Before I moved the only person I'd go clothes shopping w/ was my gay friend, he was always honest and got excited if something looked good on me. you cant get that from girls they are usually catty and everything is a compitition. I find gay guys to be better listeners, and more understanding , more emotional. Plus they take better care of themselves and have better fasion sense then most strait guys. My friend always looked good always cooridinated. Thats why girls always say Too bad he is gay, Cause gay guys are like the strait girls dream man, but they can never have him.

Gay men talk to women, and treat them the way other women do in conversation.

Straight males want into their pants, and often don't bond emotionally with them right away.

Aside from that I guess that gay men used to take excellent care of themselves, but straight males have caught up there. So I'm guessing it is just because we're really really nice to them.

They aren't obsessed with football and beer, and getting a little T&A on the side, regardless of how good they've got it at home. They are immaculate in their appearance, and always smell nice. They don't reduce women to "objects" for their pleasure. They are thoughtful, sensitive, and soft-spoken. There is an aura of REFINEMENT to them!

The DOWN-side???? Well, unfortunately, most of this ultra-sensitivity is reserved for other MEN! And they treat us women with so much "respect" because they are saving ALL of that lustfull desire for....you guessed it - MEN.....exclusively!

From MY experience, a straight girl JUST CAN'T WIN these days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Besides the obvious choice that we are well groomed and well dressed. In my experience, women have told me that they can be a friend with a gay guy and they don't feel like they have to be more than just a friend.

They listen. They are genuine (they're not just pretending to hear what you have to say). They're generally well groomed. They're not afraid to embrace their feminine side.

For straight guys, the woman they hate most is the one within themselves.

Well much of it has to do with the fact that we can talk to them and they don't have to worry that we are simply trying to sleep with them. Treating them as a person and not someone/something you are just trying to get in bed with goes a heck of a long way toward improving their opinion of you.
