Depends on what you are looking for:
Truck rental would be cheapest, it also means you do all the work.
A "pods" type where you pack and they move/drive would be second cheapest.
A full service moving company would be most expensive.

What kind of move?
across town?
Across state?
Cross country?
Overseas?

All of these variables need to be considered, before someone can help you with the details and which company may be the best deal.

If you don't mind doing the packing and unpacking of the truck, try upack.com. They were about 1/2 the price of some other moving companies, even cheaper than just renting a uhaul! The deal is, they drop off an empty trailer, you fill it up with your stuff, then they come pick it up and a few days later they drop the trailer off at your new place and leave it for a few days while you unpack it. They do all the driving, you don't have to deal with driving a truck and gas and fees are included! We used this for our grandmother and they were WONDERFUL!! They dropped the trailer off before we were there to help and they were great with helping her sign the papers and get started!
