Its interesting to see the posts on here as far as questions and answers. If everyone would take a class in "relax" then as a country, we might actually be able to get something done. Instead we have a knee-jerk reaction to every statement made by politicians or other apparently famous people, i.e. Joe Biden and Don Imus.

Do you people really have no sense of humor or have you never made a mistake in your speach before? I'm sure if we went far enough back in your history and somehow managed to find recordings of everything you've ever said, we might find something to get upset at you for. But I have a better idea, get over youself and off your soapbox, go have a coke and smile and just shut the hell up already. Most of us are sick of hearing you complain that someone hurt your feelings. Also, why is it your job to offended for someone else? LET IT GO! BE A FREAKING GROWN-UP ALREADY! If you can't though, I'd really like to know WHY?

Americans tend to have a sense of humor, as long as the humor is directed toward others.
Other than that, Americans are set on edge, ready to take insult at the least mis-statement, or joke.
Instead of uniting as a country and a people, we are divided by cultural groupings, ethnicities, gender related groupings, sexual preferences, and the list goes on and on.
Truly, no one seems to be able to laugh at themselves anymore.

I read an interesting article that said if Don Imus had said something rude about Oprah or Condoleeza, he probably wouldn't have come under such scruitiny because those are black women who have power and are more successful than he is. It still wouldn't be right, but people would just roll their eyes, if they paid attention at all. But when he picked on a group of mostly unknown college women who were doing nothing but trying to be good basketball players, he crossed a line and became a "bully." It seems like most of the offenses that are treated like honest offenses fall into this category. Think about it: women make fun of men all the time with no backlash. Black people make fun of whites with no backlash. It's only when the roles are reversed that it's seen as an offense by society, because when it's reversed, that's when the people with "power" are picking on the people with "less power."

I don't care if they're offended. Does it offend you? Maybe you need to lighten up a little.
