I like it if it is the first date. It gets it out of the way and usually tells you more about the person than a whole night of talking.
I have waited longer though but in the past 5 years usually I try on the first date.

not that long maybe 2 to 3 days or a week at the most.but if I feel that the girl is as much as into to me as I am with her I usually asked if i could kiss her goodnight on our second date.

if I feel the time is right and I get the hint that the girl would like a kiss,then I ask her if she would like a kiss and she says yes then we will share our first kiss which is to me the most anticipated one of all and keeps me in suspense as to what it will be like.

Usually a small one at the end of the first date...if it went well. If I'm not interested in a second date, then I don't give her one. No reason to send mixed signals! :-)
