i have two containers at home...one for pennies, one for everything else...
when a local biz ticks me off, i use the pennies to pay them...hee hee...the local sub place was NOT happy to have to count them all out.

If the counter where my sale is being rung up and they give me pennies I will put the pennies and sometimes my change in the penny cup in case they add a penny or two from a bill to even out the purchase or if there is some charity that I know was legitimate I put my pennies or extra change in the cup.I do the same for the Salvation Army during Christmas shopping season if I have spare change because every little bit helps.

Keep them...I work for a bank, and I used to see people come in and cash in just the pennies they collected all year. I had a few customers that would cash them in once a year when they were going on vacation. It would only be about 25 bucks, but hell, money is money.

I keep all change. I make especially sure to keep the pennies, actually, because my husband loves pennies. Don't know why, but he thinks they're the best coin money out there.

I ask if they have a "take a penny, leave a penny" pot and put them there. Still, some seem to always make it home with me, and THEY TRY TO HIDE. I find them in the kitchen, the sofa, under the bed--they are sneaky little devils!

I keep them, like I will be stuck someday in some situation where I must have pennies. I really never use them though.

I put ALL my change in a big glass container and after a few months, I'll sort and wrap it. That money goes toward our vacation. So far, since last May (our last vacation), I have accumulated $724.00. Not too bad....

They all get thrown in a drawer, when I get enough of them I give then to the neighbors kids!! They love it!!
