I never called them anything other than French Fries. I just boycotted Evian, Air France, and closed out my bank account at Bank of the West.

It was very childish. There was even talk about sending the Statue of Liberty back to France. How juvenile is that? So now we can continue to eat French pastries, drink French wine, break and eat French bread and so on. Of course we now have our French fries back. By the way French fries aren't really French, anyway. They are Belgian.

I vote YES! Chirac is gone and his wimpy ways are ancient history. Sarkozy will be good for the French people. P.S. I never did pour my french wine in the gutter, I'm not stupid. LOL

we ought to. The whole issue was about the French disagreeing with our actions and in the fullness of time it turned out the French were being more level headed than US. It seems wrong to continue being angry at the French for being right.

Maybe this congress should spend more money to decide what we should call them. Maybe we should have a government rehab program to break us from using the words Freedom fries.

Don't let those cons BS you, truckjumper815.

They spend plenty of $$ on things like Brie, Gruyere, fine Bordeaux and Cabernet, simply because France produces some of the best wine and cheese on the planet - no disrespect to California.

Wealthy cons like to buy the best, and that sometimes means French, whether they like it or not.

Politics is one thing; impressing your wealthy friends is another...

Just goes to show how childish this country can be if someone does follow us. Did those fat cat Republicans quit drinking French Wines?

Cons will continue to bash 'French' fries because they are too dumb to know that they came from Belgium and the potato came from Central America. Don't try to expect to much common sense from them. And BTW, its 'allowed' not 'aloud'.

There's a restaurant I won't go to because they bought into that crap. I'm (R) as the day is long and thought that whole thing was idiotic.

It also pisses me off that a local donut shop has a sign saying Our Profits Stay in the U.S., as if I gave a crap.
